CHANGE OF NAME
 
A STP unit may be permitted by STPK to change the name of the company or the implementing agency, provided the new company/implementing agency undertakes to take over the assets and liabilities of the existing unit.
For obtaining permission for change of name, the unit will be required to submit the following documents to STPK:
 
An application as per the prescribed format requesting for the change of the unit’s name along with a copy of the certificate issued by Registrar of Companies ratifying the change of name.
A copy of the Memorandum & Articles of Association (in case of a Limited company) effecting the change of name.
Copy of the Board resolution/ undertaking to change the company/unit name.
 
CHANGE / EXTENSION OF STP UNIT'S LOCATION
 
A STP unit is eligible to change its officially approved existing location of STP operation or to extend the same to the additional ones by obtaining written permission from The Director, STPI, who can approve the Change in Location and/or Extension of STP operations provided it is within the jurisdiction of STP-KOLKATA.
 
(A) The applicant unit has to furnish the following documents to STPK for seeking approval/confirmation of the Change of Location/Extension of the STP unit.
 
An application in the prescribed format stating the complete address enclosed with the ground/floor plan of the new location.
A copy of lease agreement between STP unit and lessor of the building/premises.
A copy of existing Private Bonded Warehouse License issued by the Custom.
   
(B) Based on STPK’s approval, Customs Bonding of the new location has to be done and a copy of Private Bonded Warehouse License issued by the Customs Authorities needs to be submitted to STPK.
(C) A STP unit must not shift or install any duty free goods without Custom bonding of the new / additional location.
(D) Prior permission of STPK and customs has to be obtained for shifting the duty free equipments from the old location to the new/extended ones.
