SHIFTING / TRANSFER OF CAPITAL GOODS

STP Units are permitted to shift imported Capital Goods for the following purposes with ‘No objection’ obtained from STP Authority:

	Inter Unit transfer to 100% EOU permanently on sale basis.
	Inter Unit transfer to 100% EOU temporarily on loan/rental/free of cost basis.
	Carrying Laptop computer & Video Projector systems for export activity.
	Change/Expansion of Location of STP operations.
	Demonstration/Execution of Project/Training.
	Sub-Contracting.

The terms and conditions for executing the abovementioned re-export/shifting/transfer are as follows:

	Application for inter-unit transfer/shifting has to be submitted in the prescribed format.
	In case the equipment is shifted permanently from one STP unit to another STP/EPZ/EOU unit, the value of Capital Goods would be credited & debited correspondingly between the transferor & the transferee.
	For such Inter-unit Transfers, both the transferor and the transferee units will obtain ‘No objection’ from their respective Director, STPI as well as permission of the Customs & Central Excise Authorities.
	In case of transfer on loan/rental/free of cost basis, the transferee unit has to achieve the NFE as per stipulation on the value of goods transferred.
	For permission to take Laptop computers or Video Projection Systems temporarily outside the bonded area, application as per the prescribed format has to be submitted to STP authority giving all necessary details.
